Singer Suchitra Accuses Rima Kallingal Of Hosting Drug-Fueled Parties, Questions Industry Silence

Suchitra Accuses Rima Kallingal of Hosting Drug-Fueled Parties: Singer Suchitra has made grave allegations against prominent figures in the Malayalam film industry, Rima Kallingal and her husband, Aashiq Abu. In a recent interview with the SS Buzz YouTube Channel, Suchitra claimed that Rima has been hosting regular parties at her residence, where drugs are extensively used by attendees of all genders. This interview has since gone viral on social media, sparking widespread discussion and concern.
Suchitra Claims Rima's Parties Contributed To Career Downfall
Suchitra accused Rima Kallingal of organizing these drug-fueled gatherings and suggested that many young women are being introduced to drug use at these events. In the interview, Suchitra also stated that the main reason for the downfall of Rima Kallingal's career is the parties she hosted. "There are certain things that should not be used at a party, even if it is attended by adults. I was deeply shocked to learn about Rima Kallingal's involvement in such activities," Suchitra stated. She further revealed that several Malayalam music directors who have attended these parties have voiced their discomfort and shared their troubling experiences with her.
In her interview, Suchitra also questioned whether the previous drug raids conducted in Kochi were related to Kallingal and her then-boyfriend, now husband, Aashiq Abu. "Do you know how many innocent girls who had never used drugs before were introduced to them at these parties? Both women and men participated in these events. Despite Kallingal's public stance on women's empowerment, no one is holding her accountable for her actions," Suchitra asserted.
In another development, Aashiq Abu has publicly criticized the leadership of the FEFKA Directors Union following the release of the Hema Committee report. Abu resigned from his position in FEFKA, alleging that the union's leadership had remained silent on critical issues raised by the report. He has called for the dissolution of the FEFKA committee, a demand that has been met with dismissal by FEFKA General Secretary B Unnikrishnan, who labeled Aashiq Abu's resignation as a mere joke.
This unfolding drama continues to draw significant attention within the Malayalam film industry, with both allegations and responses raising important questions about accountability and transparency among its leading figures.
