Sukesh Chandrasekhar Pledges 15 Cr To Kerala CM s Fund

Sukesh Chandrasekhar Pledges ₹15 Cr To Kerala CM's Relief Fund: In a surprising move, Sukesh Chandrasekhar, currently in judicial custody for his involvement in a high-profile Rs 200 crore extortion case, has pledged a donation of Rs 15 crore to the Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund. This gesture comes in response to the devastating landslides that have recently struck Wayanad, Kerala, leaving communities in dire need of assistance.

Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who is incarcerated in Delhi's Tihar Jail, reportedly penned a letter to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, expressing his deep sorrow and concern for the affected people of Wayanad. In his letter published by various news outlets, he spoke of his long-standing connection to Kerala and the profound impact that the state's ongoing tragedies have had on him.

"It is highly painful to see what Kerala is going through time and again, and now the landslide tragedy has completely shaken my heart," Sukesh Chandrasekhar wrote. "I have a very deep connection with Kerala and its people, as Kerala has always given me love, care, and warmth during my period of low; it has always given me support, and now it's my time to show my support and gratitude to my brothers and sisters of Kerala at this time of need."

Sukesh Chandrasekhar Pledges to Build 300 Houses for Wayanad Landslide Victims

Sukesh's offer extends beyond the monetary contribution to the relief fund. He also pledged to construct 300 houses for those displaced by the landslides. The conman emphasised the urgency of these efforts, stating that the homes would be built "on an immediate basis" to provide shelter for those who have lost everything in the disaster.

In his letter, Sukesh assured the Kerala government that all funds and transactions would be fully compliant with legal requirements. "The mentioned contributions are being made from legitimate business accounts of mine and income, which are completely taxed," he stated. "All the required legalities are being attached along with the transfer details for your perusal."

Sukesh's letter also conveyed a message of hope and resilience for the people of Kerala. Referring to the state as "God's own country," he expressed confidence that Kerala would emerge stronger from this calamity. "I pray to God that he gives strength to all the families of the affected; God is with you," he added.

As of now, the Kerala government has not issued an official response to Sukesh's offer. The unexpected gesture from a man embroiled in multiple criminal cases has sparked mixed reactions, with some viewing it as an earnest attempt to give back to a state that holds personal significance for him, while others remain sceptical of his intentions.

Sukesh Chandrasekhar, notorious for his involvement in various criminal activities, was most recently granted bail by the Bombay High Court in a 2015 cheating case. Despite the bail, he remains incarcerated due to his involvement in other ongoing cases, including the Rs 200 crore extortion scheme. He was initially arrested on May 29, 2015, on charges of cheating under Sections 420 and criminal conspiracy under Section 120-B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), as well as violations of the Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes (Banning) Act and the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act.

Sukesh Chandrasekhar has also been in the spotlight for writing love letters to Jacqueline Fernandez, who is rumoured to be his girlfriend.
