In a related development, a formal complaint has been lodged against actor Siddique regarding the sexual assault allegations made by actress Revathy Sampath. The complaint, filed with the Kochi Police Commissioner by a resident of Vytilla, alleges that Siddique committed sexual offenses under the POCSO Act. Additionally, the complaint calls for action against director Ranjith, who is accused of sexual misconduct by Bengali actress Sreelekha Mitra.

The police are currently reviewing the complaint and preparing to take the necessary action. Siddique, in response to the allegations, has resigned from his role as General Secretary of the actor's association, 'AMMA.' He submitted his resignation to AMMA President Mohanlal following the serious allegations raised by Revathy Sampath. Similarly, Ranjith has also resigned from his position as chairman of the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy.
