Actor Siddique Alleged To Be Guilty In Police Charge Sheet In Sexual Assault Case: Report

Siddique Alleged Guilty In Police Charge Sheet On Rape Case: In a significant development in the ongoing rape case involving actor Siddique, the police have reportedly declared him guilty. According to a report by Manorama Online, the police charge sheet outlines details of the incident in which Siddique allegedly lured a young woman to the Mascot Hotel in Thiruvananthapuram under the pretense of discussing cinema. However, the police claim the invitation was made with malicious intent, ultimately leading to the assault at the hotel. The charge sheet contains the same information previously stated by the police in their report submitted to the court.
Reports indicate that the actress disclosed the assault before the release of the Hema Committee report, with witnesses corroborating her account. The special investigation team further clarified that Siddique allegedly threatened the woman when she expressed her intention to speak out about the assault. He reportedly told her that no one would believe her due to her lack of public profile and even compared her situation unfavorably to his own. This detail, along with others, has been included in the police charge sheet.
Charge Sheet Expected to Be Submitted Soon
The charge sheet is expected to be submitted to the court once it receives approval from the head of the Crime Branch. Investigators are reportedly confirming the validity of the sexual assault complaint that led to Siddique's resignation as the General Secretary of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). The incident is said to have occurred on January 28, 2016, following the preview of the film Sukhamaayirikkatte, when Siddique allegedly invited the actress and her family to the hotel. The charge sheet reportedly states that witness statements and digital evidence confirm Siddique was staying at the hotel at the time and had indeed invited the actress to meet him there.
Following the assault, reports suggest the woman sought medical treatment in Kochi, where she disclosed the incident to a doctor, who provided a statement to the investigators.
Siddique, who had previously appeared before the police, was arrested and later released on conditional bail after receiving anticipatory bail from the Supreme Court. The investigation team is now reportedly preparing to submit the charge sheet to the court for further proceedings.
