In her address, she said, "Many of those seated here, including myself, have been escorted safely home by drivers at all hours of the night. Therefore, it is pointless to blame every colleague. But what happened behind this is a criminal conspiracy. It is our responsibility to fully support efforts to bring those involved before the law. A woman deserves to regain the respect that she gives a man, both inside and outside her home. That is the message I want to convey to everyone."

Manju Warrier's statements at the gathering and in subsequent interviews were among the first to publicly suggest that the assault was not an isolated act of violence but involved careful planning. According to a report by Mathrubhumi, after the arrest of prime accused Pulsar Suni on February 23, 2017, Manju Warrier reiterated her position, emphasizing that the crime was not random and had been deliberately orchestrated.

Throughout the trial, Manju Warrier maintained her stance. According to Reporterlive, on June 21, 2017, she testified in court that the survivor had shared information with her regarding Dileep's relationship with actor Kavya Madhavan, which had caused tension. Her testimony, along with statements from other witnesses, contributed to Dileep being named the eighth accused in the case.

In the following years, as the investigation continued, Manju Warrier was summoned multiple times to confirm key pieces of evidence, including audio recordings and digital material linked to Dileep.
