Dies Irae Box Office Collection: Rahul Sadasivan's Dies Irae, starring Pranav Mohanlal in the lead role, has maintained a steady run at the box office since its release on October 31. According to early estimates from box office tracking site Sacnilk, the Malayalam horror thriller has collected approximately ₹35.40 crore net in India over 11 days, marking a strong performance for a genre film.

Produced by Chakravarthy Ramachandra and S. Sashikanth under Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios, Dies Irae continues Sadasivan's exploration of supernatural horror. The film reportedly exists in the same narrative universe as Bhoothakalam (2022) and Bramayugam (2024).

In its opening weekend, Dies Irae performed impressively, earning ₹4.7 crore on Friday, followed by ₹5.7 crore and ₹6.35 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The film saw the usual weekday slowdown, with collections tapering to ₹3 crore on Monday and ₹2.6 crore on Tuesday. By the end of its first week, the cumulative collection stood at ₹26.45 crore.

During its second weekend, the film regained momentum. Friday saw earnings of ₹2 crore, which rose to ₹3.4 crore on Saturday. Sunday contributed another ₹2.9 crore, while early estimates for Monday (Day 11) place the figure around ₹0.65 crore. The consistent weekend traction indicates that Dies Irae continues to draw audiences in Kerala and select centers outside the state.

Dies Irae Key Crew, Storyline, and Cast

Cinematographer Shehnad Jalal's visual style and Christo Xavier's music have been key elements of the film's mood-driven storytelling. The narrative follows Rohan Shankar, an architect played by Pranav Mohanlal, who becomes entangled in disturbing supernatural events after the death of an acquaintance. With help from Madhu, a man familiar with exorcism rituals, Rohan attempts to uncover the origins of the haunting forces around him.

The ensemble cast includes Gibin Gopinath, Jaya Kurup, Arun Ajikumar, Sreedhanya, Madan Babu, and Saiju Kurup in a cameo role. Technical credits also feature Shafique Mohammed Ali as editor and Jayadevan Chakkadath as sound designer.

As Dies Irae continues in its second week, the film is expected to maintain its pace and strengthen its position among this year's notable Malayalam releases.
