Dies Irae Box Office Collection Day 16: Pranav Mohanlal-Rahul Sadasivan's Film Crosses ₹38 Crore In India

Dies Irae Box Office Collection: The Malayalam horror thriller Dies Irae, starring Pranav Mohanlal and directed by Rahul Sadasivan, has completed sixteen days in theaters, recording a total India net collection of approximately ₹38.96 crore, according to box office tracking site Sacnilk.
Released worldwide on 31 October 2025, the film is produced by Chakravarthy Ramachandra and S. Sashikanth under Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios. The project shares continuity with Bhoothakalam and Bramayugam and has music composed by Christo Xavier, cinematography by Shehnad Jalal, and editing handled by Shafique Mohamed Ali.
The first week saw a steady run, with the film earning ₹26.45 crore, primarily from the Malayalam market. Day 1 opened at ₹4.7 crore, followed by ₹5.7 crore on Saturday and ₹6.35 crore on Sunday, showing an early weekend rise of over 21 percent. Collections dipped during the weekdays, with Monday through Thursday contributing progressively lower amounts, but the week concluded with a cumulative first-week total that reflected a strong initial response.
Week two saw a combined total of ₹11.1 crore, with Friday opening at ₹2 crore and Saturday reaching ₹3.4 crore. Sunday recorded a slight decline at ₹2.9 crore, and the weekday collections saw sharper drops, including a 70 percent fall on Monday of the second week. Despite fluctuations, Saturday of the third week (Day 16) posted an estimated ₹0.89 crore, indicating a 71 percent jump compared to the previous day.
Dies Irae Storyline, Key Cast, and Crew
Dies Irae follows the story of Rohan Shankar, an architect living in Kerala, who begins to experience a series of unsettling supernatural events following the death of a former acquaintance. Seeking guidance, he teams up with Madhu, a local familiar with traditional exorcism practices, as they investigate the origins of these disturbances. The narrative explores the connection between restless spirits and past events, focusing on Rohan's efforts to understand the supernatural forces affecting his life.
The film features an ensemble cast including Gibin Gopinath, Jaya Kurup, Arun Ajikumar, Sreedhanya Madan Babu, K. Sudha, Sukumari Subha, Sumithran Manohari, Joy Swathi Das, Prabhu, Athulya Chandra, Anagha Ashok, Saheer Mohammed, Manoj Moorthy, Nidhinya Pattayil, Priya Sreejith, and a cameo by Saiju Kurup. The technical team includes production designer Jothish Shankar, sound designer Jayadevan Chakkadath, stunt coordinator Kalai Kingson, and VFX by Digibricks, among others.
Now in its third week, the film's performance over the weekend will help gauge its sustainability at the box office.
