According to film industry tracker AB George, Dragon has garnered a total of ₹3.40 crore at the Kerala box office within 21 days of its release. The film's steady performance over the weeks has contributed to its success, earning it a Hit verdict. Despite competition from other releases, Dragon has managed to maintain its hold in theaters, reflecting a positive audience reception.

The Tamil film Dragon features Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role as Ragavan "Dragon" Dhanapal, alongside Anupama Parameswaran as Keerthi Deepak and Kayadu Lohar as Pallavi Parasuram, whose voice was dubbed by Savitha Radhakrishnan. The film also stars Mysskin as S. Mayilvahanan, Gautham Vasudev Menon as Vale Kumar, K. S. Ravikumar as Parasuram, George Maryan as Dhanapal, and Indumathy Manikandan as Chitra Dhanapal, with her voice dubbed by Vinodhini Vaidyanathan. The supporting cast includes VJ Siddhu as Anbu, Harshath Khan as Vetri "Kutty Dragon," P. L. Thenappan as Thenappan, Fatman Ravinder as M. S. Rajesh, and Apollo Ravi as a college staff member. Joe Michael Praveen appears as a clerk in a matrimonial office, while Whatsapp Mani plays Paambu, and Ramesh Narayanan portrays Karups. Lakshman Tekumudi, Rohith Muralidharan, and Sujatha Babu play Bandi, Venkat, and Pallavi's mother, respectively. Aruljothi appears as a co-worker with a crush on Ragavan.
The film also features several cameo appearances, including Ivana as Harini Mayilvahanan, Sneha as a doctor, and Ashwath Marimuthu as Gowtham. Sandy Master appears as the hostel warden in the song "Maatikkinaaru Orutharu," while Anveshi Jain plays Sherin Gowtham. Bjorn Surrao is seen as Ragavan's proxy interviewer, Gopika Ramesh portrays Anjana, and Deepa Shankar plays a maid.
The Tamil film Dragon was written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and produced under the AGS Entertainment banner by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh. Archana Kalpathi served as the creative producer, with Aishwarya Kalpathi as the associate creative producer. The film's executive producer was S. M. Venkat Manickam.
