Eko Box Office Collection Day 3: Sandeep Pradeep Starrer Mystery Thriller Shows Strong Weekend Growth

Eko Box Office Collection: The Malayalam mystery thriller Eko̅, featuring Sandeep Pradeep in the lead, completed its first weekend on a positive note after releasing in theaters on November 21, 2025. Directed by Dinjith Ayyathan and written by Bahul Ramesh, the film recorded noticeable day-on-day growth across its opening weekend, indicating steady interest among viewers.

According to early estimates from box office tracker Sacnilk, Eko̅ collected around ₹5.8 crore (India net) in its first three days. The film opened modestly on Friday with ₹0.8 crore, but the collections improved sharply over the next two days. Saturday brought in ₹1.85 crore, reflecting a substantial jump of over 130%. Sunday offered another boost, with the film earning an estimated ₹3.15 crore, marking its highest single-day figure so far. The strong Sunday performance contributed significantly to the weekend total.

As the film enters its fourth day today (Monday, November 24), industry watchers are looking to see whether Eko̅ can maintain momentum on weekdays, typically a testing period for new releases.

A Look at the Film

Set in the mist-covered landscape of Kaattukunnu, Eko̅ follows the lives of Mlaathi Chedathi and Peeyoos, who navigate unexpected challenges tied to the mysterious legacy of Kuriyachan, a businessman, outlaw, and a figure whose influence continues to shape the region. The narrative blends local lore, survival, and moral conflicts, keeping in line with the thematic style seen in director Dinjith Ayyathan and writer Bahul Ramesh's earlier collaborations.

The film marks the concluding entry in Bahul Ramesh's "Animal Trilogy," following Kishkindha Kaandam and Kerala Crime Files: Season 2. Although each story stands independently, the trilogy is connected by a common exploration of crime and human behaviour within environments where animals and nature play symbolic roles.

Eko̅ also represents the debut production of Aaradyaa Studios, headed by MRK Jhayaram. Apart from Sandeep Pradeep, the cast includes Vineeth, Narain, Binu Pappu, Ashokan, and Biana Momin.
