Eko Kerala Box Office Day 9 Sharp Jump In Earnings

Eko Kerala Box Office Collection: The Malayalam mystery thriller Eko̅ witnessed a notable rise in collections on its second Saturday at the Kerala box office. The film, which hit theaters on November 21, has now completed nine days of its theatrical run. As per figures shared by industry tracker AB George, the film grossed approximately ₹2 crore on Day 9, marking a significant jump from its Friday earnings.

With this second Saturday performance, Eko̅'s estimated total collection in Kerala has reached around ₹14.96 crore after nine days. The sharp increase of nearly 43 percent compared to Day 8 indicates renewed audience interest during the weekend, following relatively steady weekday numbers.

Cast, Plot, and Technical Crew at a Glance

Directed by Dinjith Ayyathan, Eko̅ marks his latest collaboration with writer and cinematographer Bahul Ramesh after Kishkindha Kaandam. The film is produced by MRK Jhayaram under the banner of Aaradyaa Studios, which has entered film production with this project as its debut venture.

The film stars Sandeep Pradeep in the lead role, with Vineeth, Narain, Binu Pappu, Ashokan, and Biana Momin playing key supporting characters. Sim Zhi Fei, NG Hung Shen, Ranjith Shekhar, and Saheer Muhammed also appear in important roles.

Set in the misty hills of Kaattukunnu, Eko̅ centers on Mlaathi Chedathi and Peeyoos as they attempt to withstand a series of unforeseen challenges. Their lives are intricately tied to Kuriyachan, a complex figure portrayed as both a businessman and an outlaw, whose presence blurs the boundaries between myth and reality. The film unfolds as a blend of crime and psychological conflict, deeply rooted in its natural setting.

The film also marks the concluding chapter of Bahul Ramesh's "Animal Trilogy," following Kishkindha Kaandam and Kerala Crime Files: Season 2. While the three projects stand independently, they are united by a shared thematic thread that explores crime and moral dilemmas in worlds shaped by a strong animal presence.

On the technical side, the film's music is composed by Mujeeb Majeed, with editing by Sooraj E S and art direction by Sajeesh Thamarassery. Audiography is handled by Vishnu Govind, while colour grading was completed at Color Planet Studios under colourist Srik Varier. The film's promotional campaign has been managed by Yellowtooths, with digital promotions handled by Snakeplant LLP.

Following the strong second Saturday performance, Eko̅ enters its second Sunday at the box office with renewed momentum. The Day 10 figures are expected to give a clearer picture of how well the weekend surge translates into sustained business in the coming week.
