Empuraan Box Office Collection: The Malayalam action thriller Empuraan had its global premiere on March 27, 2025. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy, the film serves as the second chapter in the planned Lucifer trilogy, with Mohanlal in the lead role. Produced by Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies and presented by Lyca Productions, the film also features Prithviraj, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Jerome Flynn, and Eriq Ebouaney in key roles.

According to film industry tracker AB George, Empuraan has had a strong start in the Middle East, collecting $6.59 million (₹56.40 crore) over its opening weekend. This makes it the third biggest Indian opener in the region.
Empuraan Synopsis
In 2002, communal riots in Gujarat leave young Zayed orphaned after his family is brutally killed. He is rescued by Khureshi Ab'raam, who becomes his mentor, shaping him into a man driven by vengeance. Years later, political dynamics in Kerala take a turn as Jathin Ramdas joins forces with Balraj, now known as Baba Bajrangi. As global conspiracies come to light, Stephen Nedumpally-who is secretly Ab'raam-returns to settle unfinished business.
Empuraan Cast And Crew
Mohanlal stars as Khureshi Ab'raam, also known as Stephen Nedumpally, while Prithviraj Sukumaran plays Zayed Masood Azhar. Manju Warrier portrays Priyadarshini Ramdas, and Abhimanyu Singh takes on the role of Balraj Patel, also known as Baba Bajrangi. The cast also includes Tovino Thomas as Jathin Ramdas, Indrajith Sukumaran as Govardhan, and Andrea Tivadar as Michele Menuhin, alongside Jerome Flynn, Kishore, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Eriq Ebouaney in key roles.
Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Empuraan is produced by Antony Perumbavoor and Gokulam Gopalan under Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies. Murali Gopy penned the script, with Sujith Vaassudev handling cinematography and Akhilesh Mohan in charge of editing. The music for the film was composed by Deepak Dev, while M. R. Rajakrishnan managed sound design. The film's action sequences were choreographed by Stunt Silva, with VFX contributions from YFX Studios, Labyrinth Studios, Binary Circus, and other teams. Promotions were handled by Poffactio, with design by Anand Rajendran (Illuminartist).
