Empuraan Synopsis
In 2002, communal riots in Gujarat leave young Zayed orphaned after his family is brutally killed, forcing him to flee. Rescued and mentored by Khureshi Ab'raam, he grows up driven by a desire for vengeance. Years later, Kerala's political dynamics take a drastic turn as Jathin Ramdas joins forces with Balraj, now known as Baba Bajrangi. Amidst unfolding global conspiracies, Stephen Nedumpally-who is secretly Ab'raam-returns for a final reckoning.
Empuraan Cast And Crew
Empuraan features a sprawling ensemble cast, led by Mohanlal as Khureshi Ab'raam, also known as Stephen Nedumpally, with Pranav Mohanlal making a cameo as his younger self. Prithviraj Sukumaran plays Zayed Masood, with Karthikeya Dev portraying his younger version. Abhimanyu Singh takes on the role of Balraj Patel, also known as Baldev and Baba Bajrangi. Tovino Thomas stars as Jathin Ramdas, while Manju Warrier appears as Priyadarshini Ramdas.
The cast also includes Indrajith Sukumaran as Govardhan, Andrea Tivadar as Michele Menuhin, Jerome Flynn as Boris Oliver, Kishore as Karthik, and Sukant Goel as Munna. Suraj Venjaramoodu plays Sajanachandran, with Eriq Ebouaney as Kabuga. Additional actors include Nikhat Khan, Saniya Iyappan, Fazil, Sachin Khedekar, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh, Nandhu, and Shivaji Guruvayoor.

Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy, Empuraan was produced by Antony Perumbavoor and Gokulam Gopalan under Sree Gokulam Movies and Aashirvad Cinemas Pvt Ltd. Sujith Vaassudev handled cinematography, with Akhilesh Mohan as the editor and Deepak Dev composing the music. The executive producers were Suresh Balaje and George Pius, with Prithviraj Productions overseeing the project. Sidhu Panakkal served as the production controller, while Mohandas was the art director.
Teasers were edited by Don Max, with Vava as the chief associate director. Nirmal Sahadev was the creative director, and M. R. Rajakrishnan managed sound design. Stunt Silva choreographed the action sequences, while Sujith Sudhakaran handled costumes and Sreejith Guruvayoor was in charge of makeup.
VFX supervision was led by Praveen Ghanta and executed by YFX Studios, Labyrinth Studios - Mumbai, Binary Circus, Paperplane, Ident, and DTM, with YFX producer Huseini Barodawala. Vishal Tyagi oversaw SFX, and Vivek Anand at Annapurna Studios handled color grading.
The production team included first associate director Renith Ravindran, production executives Saji Joseph and Sethu Adoor, finance manager Basil M. Babu, and production manager Sasidharan Kandanassery. RP Bala directed multilingual dubbing, with Sinat Savier managing still photography.
