Empuraan Box Office Collection Overseas: L2: Empuraan, the Malayalam action thriller, hit theatres worldwide on March 27, 2025. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy, the film is the second chapter in the planned Lucifer trilogy, following the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer. Produced jointly by Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies and presented by Lyca Productions, Empuraan is also the first Malayalam film to release in IMAX and EPIQ formats.

According to film industry tracker AB George, L2: Empuraan recorded a phenomenal overseas opening day gross of over $5 million (approximately ₹43 crore). This figure surpasses the overseas opening collections of all Bollywood films to date. Highlighting the achievement, AB George noted that Mohanlal's film accomplished this feat with support from a population of just 3.5 crore Malayalis-roughly 2.5% of India's total population-underscoring the superstar's massive global appeal.

Empuraan Cast And Crew

L2: Empuraan stars Mohanlal in the lead role as Khureshi Ab'raam, also known as Stephen Nedumpally, alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran as Zayed Masood and Karthikeya Dev as the younger Zayed. The film's ensemble cast features Abhimanyu Singh, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Andrea Tivadar, Jerome Flynn, Kishore, Sukant Goel, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Eriq Ebouaney, among others.
