Empuraan Box Office Collection UK: The Malayalam action thriller L2: Empuraan released in theatres worldwide on March 27, 2025. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and penned by Murali Gopy, the film serves as the second installment in the planned Lucifer trilogy, following the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer. A joint production of Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies, and presented by Lyca Productions, Empuraan also holds the distinction of being the first Malayalam film to debut in IMAX and EPIQ formats.

According to film industry tracker ForumKeralam, L2: Empuraan registered a historic opening at the UK box office, grossing over £630,000 on its first day. This figure surpasses the previous record held by Leo for the highest Day 1 opening by an Indian film in the UK. Industry observer AB George also noted the milestone in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating that Empuraan recorded the biggest-ever Indian opening in the UK box office, overtaking Leo.

Empuraan Cast And Crew

L2: Empuraan features Mohanlal in the lead as Khureshi Ab'raam / Stephen Nedumpally, with Prithviraj Sukumaran as Zayed Masood and Karthikeya Dev as young Zayed. The ensemble cast includes Abhimanyu Singh, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Andrea Tivadar, Jerome Flynn, Kishore, Sukant Goel, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Eriq Ebouaney, along with a host of supporting actors.
