During an interview with Red FM Malayalam, Empuraan's cinematographer, Sujith Vaassudev, was asked about the possibility of a cameo in the film. Without hesitation, he responded, "Definitely, yes." The interviewer, pressing further, speculated on whether Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt could be making an appearance. The interviewer stated, "I have a doubt whether it's Sanjay Dutt.
