Empuraan Day 1 Worldwide Gross Collection: Mohanlal-Prithviraj's Film Opens To A Massive ₹65+ Crore

Empuraan Box Office Collection Prediction: Empuraan, the highly anticipated sequel to Lucifer, is an action thriller directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy. Produced by Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies, with Lyca Productions presenting, the film continues the saga with Mohanlal in the lead, joined by Prithviraj, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Abhimanyu Singh, Jerome Flynn, and others. Empuraan was released in theaters worldwide on March 27, 2025.

According to film industry tracker AB George's latest X (formerly Twitter) post, Empuraan had a massive opening, grossing over ₹65 crore worldwide on its first day. This impressive figure surpasses the four-day worldwide collections of Aadujeevitham (₹64.14 crore) and Lucifer (₹55.40 crore), highlighting the strong anticipation and box office pull of the Lucifer sequel.

Empuraan Cast and Crew

Mohanlal reprises his role as Khureshi Ab'raam (Stephen Nedumpally), with Prithviraj Sukumaran returning as Zayed Masood. The cast also includes Abhimanyu Singh as Balraj, Tovino Thomas as Jathin Ramdas, Manju Warrier as Priyadarshini Ramdas, Andrea Tivadar as Michele Menuhin, and Game of Thrones star Jerome Flynn as Boris Oliver. Indrajith Sukumaran plays Govardhan, while Karthikeya Dev portrays a younger Zayed Masood.

The supporting cast features Kishore as Karthik, Sukant Goel as Munna, Suraj Venjaramoodu as Sajanachandran, Eriq Ebouaney as Kabuga, Nikhat Khan as Subhadra Ben, Fazil as Father Nedumpally, Sachin Khedekar as P. K. Ramdas, and Saikumar as Mahesha Varma, along with Baiju Santhosh, Nandhu, Saniya Iyappan, and others.

Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy, Empuraan is produced by Antony Perumbavoor and Gokulam Gopalan under Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies, with Lyca Productions presenting. Sujith Vaassudev handles cinematography, Akhilesh Mohan is the editor, and Deepak Dev composes the music. Action sequences are choreographed by Stunt Silva, while visual effects are overseen by Praveen Ghanta, with contributions from YFX Studios, Labyrinth Studios Mumbai, and other teams.
