Empuraan Box Office Collection: Empuraan, also known as L2: Empuraan, is the sequel to the 2019 Malayalam hit Lucifer and serves as the second chapter in the planned Lucifer trilogy. This action-packed thriller stars Mohanlal in the lead role, with Prithviraj Sukumaran directing and Murali Gopy writing the script. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor and Gokulam Gopalan under Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies, the film is presented by Lyca Productions.

According to film industry tracker AB George's latest update on X (formerly Twitter), Empuraan has made history by becoming the first Malayalam film to gross over ₹250 crore worldwide. The action-packed thriller, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and starring Mohanlal, reached this milestone in just 11 days since its release.

Amidst growing political turmoil in Kerala and clashes between global crime syndicates, a shadowy figure emerges, poised to alter the state's future. The story, spanning across continents and decades, unveils a tangled web of betrayals, secret identities, and long-hidden truths-setting the stage for a high-stakes power battle with wide-reaching ramifications.
Empuraan Cast and Crew
Empuraan features Mohanlal portraying dual identities as Khureshi Ab'raam and Stephen Nedumpally, with Pranav Mohanlal appearing in a cameo as the teenage version and Adarsh portraying the younger version through archive footage from Lucifer. The ensemble includes Prithviraj Sukumaran as Zayed Masood, Karthikeya Dev as young Zayed, and Abhimanyu Singh as Balraj Patel (also known as Baba Bajrangi). Tovino Thomas plays Jathin Ramdas, while Manju Warrier portrays Priyadarshini Ramdas. Other notable cast members are Nikhat Khan, Andrea Tivadar, Jerome Flynn, Indrajith Sukumaran, and a range of supporting roles by actors like Suraj Venjaramoodu, Kishore, and Nyla Usha. Cameos include Kalabhavan Shajohn and Rick Yune.
Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Empuraan is written by Murali Gopy and produced by Antony Perumbavoor and Gokulam Gopalan under Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies. Cinematography is by Sujith Vaassudev, music by Deepak Dev, and editing by Akhilesh Mohan. The technical team features Sidhu Panakkal as production controller, Mohandas as art director, and Stunt Silva for action choreography. VFX supervision is by Praveen Ghanta, with Huseini Barodawala overseeing VFX production. DI and color grading were completed at Annapurna Studios.
