Empuraan Box Office Collection: The Malayalam action thriller Empuraan premiered worldwide on March 27, 2025. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy, the film is the second chapter in the planned Lucifer trilogy, starring Mohanlal in the lead role. Produced by Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies, with presentation by Lyca Productions, the film also features Prithviraj, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Jerome Flynn, and Eriq Ebouaney in pivotal roles.

According to film industry tracker AB George's X (formerly Twitter) post, Empuraan is maintaining strong momentum at the Kerala box office, heading towards the ₹50 crore mark within just five days. This milestone makes Empuraan Mohanlal's third film to achieve this feat, following Pulimurugan (2016), the first-ever ₹50 crore grosser in Kerala box office history, and Lucifer (2019). With this, Mohanlal now holds the record for the most ₹50 crore-grossing films in the Kerala box office.

Empuraan Synopsis

In 2002, communal riots in Gujarat leave young Zayed orphaned after his family is brutally killed, forcing him to flee. Rescued by Khureshi Ab'raam, he is raised under his mentorship, driven by a desire for revenge. Years later, Kerala's political dynamics take a turn as Jathin Ramdas joins forces with Balraj, now known as Baba Bajrangi. As global conspiracies unravel, Stephen Nedumpally-secretly Ab'raam-returns for a decisive confrontation.

Empuraan Cast And Crew

Mohanlal stars as Khureshi Ab'raam (Stephen Nedumpally), with Prithviraj Sukumaran as Zayed Masood Azhar and Karthikeya Dev as young Zayed. Manju Warrier plays Priyadarshini Ramdas, Tovino Thomas portrays Jathin Ramdas, and Abhimanyu Singh takes on Balraj Patel (Baba Bajrangi). The cast also includes Indrajith Sukumaran, Andrea Tivadar, Jerome Flynn, Kishore, Sukant Goel, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Eriq Ebouaney, Nikhat Khan, Saniya Iyappan, Fazil, Sachin Khedekar, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh, and many others, with Rick Yune appearing as the leader of the Shenlong Triad.

Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Empuraan is produced by Antony Perumbavoor and Gokulam Gopalan under Sree Gokulam Movies and Aashirvad Cinemas. Murali Gopy penned the script, with Sujith Vaassudev handling cinematography, Akhilesh Mohan editing, and Deepak Dev composing the music. The production team includes art director Mohandas, stunt coordinator Stunt Silva, costume designer Sujith Sudhakaran, and VFX supervision by Praveen Ghanta.
