The Making of Empuraan: A Long-Awaited Sequel
The journey of Empuraan began in June 2019 when the film was officially announced as part of the Lucifer trilogy. Spanning 145 days, the shoot covered multiple locations, including India, the UK, the US, and the UAE, adding to the film's global appeal.
A major milestone for Malayalam cinema, Empuraan is also the first film in the industry to be released in IMAX format, promising audiences an unparalleled visual experience. With Deepak Dev composing the music and Sujith Vaassudev handling cinematography, the film is poised to be both an auditory and visual spectacle.

Mohanlal reprises his role, joined by Prithviraj Sukumaran as Zayed Masood, Tovino Thomas as Jathin Ramdas, and Manju Warrier as Priyadarshini Ramdas. The cast also includes Abhimanyu Singh, Jerome Flynn, Indrajith Sukumaran, and Andrea Tivadar.
Murali Gopy handled the screenplay, Akhilesh Mohan was the editor, and M R Rajakrishnan oversaw sound design. Stunt Silva was responsible for action choreography, while VFX was managed by YFX Studios and other visual effects teams.
