Mohanlal's Remuneration For Empuraan: Mohanlal, Mollywood's superstar and veteran, set a sensational all-time record with his latest film Empuraan, a sequel to Lucifer. Written by Murali Gopy, the movie under the direction of Prithviraj Sukumaran is gearing up for a bombastic worldwide release on March 27. Ahead of the film's debut, the theatrical trailer is trending on the top position with 9.5 Million views alone for its Malayalam version. With five days away for the theatrical release, Empuraan already sold 96,000 tickets in just one hour all over India, beating LEO and Pushpa 2.
Mohanlal's Remuneration For Empuraan
In one of his recent interviews with a popular Bollywood entertainment host Anupama Chopra, Prithviraj Sukumar, who spoke highly of Mohanlal and Empuraan, couldn't help but throw his insight into filmmaking and the production costs. In his words, Mohanlal did not take a single penny for the movie as his remuneration and that every rupee from the film's budget was spent only on the production. The actor-filmmaker added, "I made sure that every penny for #L2E is spent on making . #Mohanlal sir didn't take a single rupee as Remuneration for #Empuraan. This is not the film where 80 Crores goes for salary & 20 Crores for making (sic)."

The action-thriller's cinematography was handled by Sujith Vaassudev and edited by Akhilesh Mohan. Deepak Dev composed the film's entire music and sound. Murali Gopy wrote the movie's story and script.
