L2: Empuraan Trailer Release: Malayalam cinema fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Mohanlal starrer L2: Empuraan, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy, the action thriller is the second installment in a planned trilogy. The film is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Aashirvad Cinemas, with Antony Perumbavoor and Subaskaran at the helm as producers.

Mohanlal reprises his role as Khureshi-Ab'raam / Stephen Nedumpally, leading an ensemble cast that includes Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Saniya Iyappan, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh, Fazil, and Sachin Khedekar. The film is set for a grand theatrical release on March 27, 2025, with fans eagerly counting down the days.

According to a report by Asianet News, an update regarding the film's trailer has surfaced on various tracking pages. Though there has been no official confirmation from the makers, reports suggest that Empuraan's much-awaited trailer is likely to be released on March 15, 2025. Adding to the anticipation, a censor certificate for the trailer has reportedly surfaced online, revealing a runtime of 3 minutes and 51 seconds.

The trailer's censor certification was reportedly completed on March 7, hinting at an imminent release. Meanwhile, reports also suggest that the film itself has been granted a U/A 16+ certification, meaning it is suitable for audiences aged 16 and above with parental guidance. With a total runtime of 2 hours and 59 minutes, the CBFC has cut 10 seconds from the movie and replaced 4 seconds as per its recommendations.

The film features a seasoned technical team. Deepak Dev returns as the music composer, while Sujith Vaassudev handles cinematography. Akhilesh Mohan is the editor, and visual effects are managed by YFX Studios, Labyrinth Studios, Binary Circus, Paperplane, Ident, and DTM. Stunt Silva oversees the action choreography.
