Empuraan Box Office Collection: Empuraan (also known as L2: Empuraan) is the second chapter of the planned Lucifer trilogy, following the success of the 2019 Malayalam hit Lucifer. The action thriller stars Mohanlal in the lead role, with direction by Prithviraj Sukumaran and a screenplay penned by Murali Gopy. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor and Gokulam Gopalan under the banners of Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies, the film is presented by Lyca Productions.

According to industry tracker AB George's post on X (formerly Twitter), Empuraan has achieved a remarkable milestone in the United Kingdom, surpassing the lifetime gross collections of Leo and Kalki 2898AD in just 11 days. The action-packed film has earned £1.60 million, placing it third in the list of the top 10 South Indian grossers in the UK. Leading the list is Pushpa 2: The Rule with £1.92 million, followed by Baahubali 2 with £1.82 million. Other films on the list include Leo (£1.58M), Kalki 2898AD (£1.55M), PS1 (£1.339M), Jailer (£1.337M), GOAT (£1.03M), RRR (£976K), and PS2 (£972K).
Empuraan Cast and Crew
Empuraan features Mohanlal as Khureshi Ab'raam, also known as Stephen Nedumpally. Pranav Mohanlal makes a brief appearance as the teenage version of Stephen, while Adarsh is seen as young Stephen through archival footage from Lucifer. Prithviraj Sukumaran returns as Zayed Masood, with Karthikeya Dev portraying a younger version of the character. Abhimanyu Singh plays Balraj Patel, also known as Baldev and Baba Bajrangi.
The film's ensemble cast includes Tovino Thomas as Jathin Ramdas, Manju Warrier as Priyadarshini Ramdas, Nikhat Khan as Subhadra Ben, Andrea Tivadar as Michele Menuhin, Jerome Flynn as Boris Oliver, and Indrajith Sukumaran as Govardhan. Suraj Venjaramoodu stars as Sajanachandran, while Kishore, Sukant Goel, and Eriq Ebouaney take on roles as Karthik, Munna, and Kabuga, respectively. Fazil appears as Father Nedumpally, Sachin Khedekar as P. K. Ramdas, and Saikumar as Mahesha Varma. The supporting cast includes Baiju Santhosh, Nandhu, Satyajit Sharma, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Saniya Iyappan, Nyla Usha, Giju John, Murugan Martin, Alexx O'Nell, Mikhail Novikov, Oziel Jivani, Aishwarya Ohja, Nayan Bhatt, and Shubhangi Latkar.
Additional roles are played by Manikuttan as Mani, Behzaad Khan as Salabath Hamza, Aneesh G. Menon as Sumesh, Sshivada as Sreelekha, Shaun Romy as Aparna, and Jaise Jose as Xavier. Kainakary Thankaraj is featured in a photograph as Nedumpally Krishnan. Cameo appearances include Kalabhavan Shajohn as Aloshy Joseph, Antony Perumbavoor as Daniel Rawuther, Aashish Joe Antony as Antony Rawuther, and Rick Yune as Shenlong Shen, the leader of the Shen Triad.
Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy, Empuraan is produced by Antony Perumbavoor and Gokulam Gopalan under Aashirvad Cinemas Pvt Ltd and Sree Gokulam Movies. The film's cinematography is handled by Sujith Vaassudev, with music by Deepak Dev and editing by Akhilesh Mohan.
