Moreover, the film's four-day weekend total gross stands at an astonishing Rs. 58.1 crore, a feat that places it in league with some of the biggest blockbusters from the Hindi and Tamil industries. For a Malayalam film, this level of anticipation and response is unprecedented, reaffirming Mohanlal's box office dominance.

Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and penned by Murali Gopy, Empuraan is the second installment in the Lucifer franchise and serves as a direct continuation of the first film.
