Empuraan Box Office Collection: Empuraan (also known as L2: Empuraan), the sequel to the 2019 Malayalam hit Lucifer, is the second chapter in the planned Lucifer trilogy. This action thriller features Mohanlal in the lead role and is directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, with a screenplay by Murali Gopy. The film is jointly produced by Antony Perumbavoor and Gokulam Gopalan under the banners of Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies, and is presented by Lyca Productions.

Empuraan Synopsis

Set amid communal unrest, political intrigue, and international crime syndicates, Empuraan traces the journey of a haunted survivor who rises to power while maneuvering through a maze of betrayal and retribution. As Kerala's political landscape hangs in the balance and global threats loom, the reappearance of a long-vanished figure compels old foes to confront their past-reshaping the destiny of a divided nation.

Empuraan Cast And Crew

Empuraan stars Mohanlal in the dual personas of Khureshi Ab'raam and Stephen Nedumpally, with Pranav Mohanlal appearing in a cameo as his younger self. Prithviraj Sukumaran reprises his role as Zayed Masood, while Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Abhimanyu Singh play key roles. The ensemble cast includes Jerome Flynn, Nikhat Khan, Andrea Tivadar, Kishore, Sukant Goel, and Eriq Ebouaney, among others.

Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy, Empuraan was produced by Antony Perumbavoor and Gokulam Gopalan under the banners of Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies. Sujith Vaassudev served as the director of photography, with music composed by Deepak Dev and editing by Akhilesh Mohan. Executive producers Suresh Balaje and George Pius backed the project, which was designed by Prithviraj Productions. The film's technical team included Sidhu Panakkal as production controller, Mohandas as art director, Don Max for teaser cuts, and Vava as chief associate director. Creative direction was led by Nirmal Sahadev, sound design by M. R. Rajakrishnan, and action choreography by Stunt Silva. Sujith Sudhakaran handled costumes, while Sreejith Guruvayoor oversaw makeup. VFX supervision was by Praveen Ghanta, with visual effects executed by YFX Studios, Labyrinth Studios-Mumbai, Binary Circus, Paperplane, Ident, and DTM. Huseini Barodawala served as YFX producer, and SFX was managed by Vishal Tyagi.
