Jailer Now Streaming On OTT: Jailer, a Malayalam historical thriller written and directed by Sakkir Madathil, hit theaters on August 18, 2023. Starring Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead role, the film features Manoj K. Jayan, Divya Pillai, and Sreejith Ravi in supporting roles. Set in the 1950s, it follows a prison officer living in a bungalow with five prisoners convicted of different crimes and his efforts to reform them.

Jailer is now available for digital streaming on the OTT platform ManoramaMax from April 4. Those who missed the film in theaters can now watch it online at their convenience.

Jailer Storyline

Inspired by a real-life incident, Jailer Shantharam conducts experiments on inmates facing criminal charges. As challenges arise, he must navigate obstacles that test his mission. Will he succeed, or will he fall prey to the very prisoners he seeks to reform?

Jailer Cast And Crew

Dhyan Sreenivasan plays Jailer Shantaram in Jailer, alongside Manoj K. Jayan as the Superintendent of Police. Divya Pillai appears as Chembaka, while Sreejith Ravi portrays Keshavan. The cast also includes Binu Adimali as Shankaran, Navas Vallikkunnu as Kammaran, Tiju Mathew as Madhavan, Unni Raja as Dhamu, and Jayaprakash as Velu Thampi. V. K. Baiju, Shashankan, Shanthakumari, Ancy Vineesha, Vasudev Sajeesh Marar, and Suryadev Sajeesh Marar are also part of the ensemble.

Jailer is directed by Sakkir Madathil and produced by Golden Village. The project was designed by N. K. Mohammad, with cinematography by Mahadevan Thampi and editing by Deepu Joseph. Riyas Payyoli composed the music, while Joseph Nellickal handled production design. Sound design was by Renganath Rave, with final mixing by Fazal A Backer. Costume design was by Stephy Zaviour, and Rasheed Ahammed managed makeup. Kamalakshan Payyannur served as the production controller, and Aambro Varghese was the chief associate. Jaffar M handled still photography, and lyrics were written by Nidheesh Nadery and Rathnabhushan Kalarikkal. The soundtrack features vocals by P. Jayachandran, Sithara Krishnakumar, Bijibal, and Rijiya Riyas. Manju Gopinath managed publicity, IVFX handled VFX, and Oldmonks designed the posters.
