Empuraan Collection Day 8 (Early Updates): Mohanlal's Film Sees Slow Growth; Lags Behind Sikandar On 2nd Thurs
L2: Empuraan Box office Collection Day 8 Early Updates: Veteran actor Mohanlal's latest Malayalam entertainer 'L2: Empuraan' aka L2:E is having a slow run at the box office. Despite the drops in numbers, the film continues to maintain a strong hold at ticket counters in Kerala. As the film is slowly inching towards the Rs 100 cr-club, the majority of the earnings are coming in from the Malayalam version. The Hindi-dubbed version of the film failed to cross Rs 2 cr in its 1st week. After completing a week in cinemas, the film is lagging behind superstar Salman Khan's Eid 2025 biggie Sikandar.
L2 Empuraan Box Office Collection First Week
Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, L2: Empuraan marks the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2019 blockbuster 'Lucifer'. The sequel sees Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran reprising his respective roles of Khureshi Ab'raam/Stephen Nedumpally and Zayed.
Amid high anticipation, the Malayalam-language action-thriller released on big screens worldwide on 27th March 2025 and opened to a whopping collection of Rs 21 cr. Ever since then, the film witnessed dip in numbers and went on to collection Rs 84.35 cr in its 1st week. With an overseas collection of Rs 132 cr, the movie grossed Rs 230.70 cr worldwide in 7 days, as per Sacnilk.

L2: Empuraan Today Collection Early Trend (Day 8)
According to the latest Sacnilk updates, Lucifer 2 aka L2E has managed to mint around Rs 1.28 cr today (Thursday, day 8, April 3) till 4:45 PM, taking the overall nett collection to Rs 85.63 cr so far. The numbers are expected to record a slight boost in evening and night shows.

Empuraan Vs Sikandar Box Office Collection
As of April 3, Salman Khan's Sikandar has taken over Mohanlal's L2: Empuraan. As per Sacnilk, Sikandar has raked in around Rs 2.14 cr on its first Thursday (today) till 4:45. As of now, the overall numbers are estimated to be at Rs 86.39 cr. For those unversed, Sikandar had its grand theatrical release on 30th March 2025.
