Lucifer Returns To The Big Screen Before L2 Empuraan

Director-actor Prithviraj Sukumaran continues his blockbuster streak with L2: Empuraan, the highly anticipated sequel to Lucifer. The film has already created history by setting a new record for overseas rights, surpassing Dulquer Salmaan's King of Kotha.

Prithviraj made his directorial debut with the blockbuster film Lucifer, which became the first Malayalam film to cross ₹200 crore at the box office. He has since then helmed acclaimed films like Bro Daddy and starred in hits like Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire and Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Now, with L2: Empuraan, expectations are soaring.

The excitement surrounding the film was evident as fans gathered at New York's Times Square to witness the grand unveiling of its teaser. Meanwhile, North America's premiere ticket sales have set a new benchmark, reflecting the film's massive anticipation.

Talking about it Prithviraj shared, "It is incredible to receive this kind of love from audiences worldwide. Be it fans gathering at Times Square or the record-breaking ticket sales, L2: Empuraan has become the most anticipated film for our masses and I can't wait to make this experience special for them on the big screen. It is our labor of love and before audiences witness this, we are elated to re-release Lucifer and take audiences down memory lane."

As a special treat for fans, Lucifer is set to re-release in theaters on March 20, allowing audiences to relive the first chapter before L2: Empuraan arrives in cinemas on March 27.
