The comedy-drama, which hit theaters on November 24, 2023, is directed by G. Marthandan and marks his return to filmmaking after a five-year hiatus.

Maharani unfolds the story of two brothers-Vijeesh (Roshan Mathew) and Ajeesh (Shine Tom Chacko)-and their intertwined lives within a chaotic yet comical family. Johny Antony plays their father, while Nisha Sarang appears as their mother. Cinematography was managed by Loganathan Srinivasan, while editing was done by Noufal Abdullah. Art direction was by Sujith Raghav, costumes by Sameera Saneesh, and makeup by Jithu Payyanur. VFX was handled by Matinee Live and Live Action Studios. Dinesh Master choreographed the songs, and action sequences were staged by Mafia Sasi and PC Stunts. The film was produced by Sujit Balan and N.M. Badusha under the banner of Badushaa Cinemas.

In the film, what begins as a dispute between two individuals gradually escalates into a full-blown feud between families, eventually plunging the entire village of Kinassery into unrest.
