Mammootty Wishes Mohanlal on 65th Birthday: Veteran actor Mohanlal turned 65 today, May 21, and the occasion was marked by a wave of wishes from fans and colleagues around the world. The Malayalam cinema icon, whose career spans more than four decades, received greetings from several members of the film industry, including longtime collaborator Mammootty.

Sharing a picture with Mohanlal on social media, Mammootty posted a brief message: "Happy Birthday Dear Lal." His production house, Mammootty Kampany, also extended wishes through its official platforms, writing, "Happy Birthday Dear Laletta. Your unmatched charisma, dedication, and iconic performances continue to light up the silver screen and our hearts. May this year bring you even more joy, good health, and cinematic brilliance."

Producer Antony Perumbavoor shared moments from a recent birthday celebration with Mohanlal, along with another picture from the set of Empuraan. "Happy birthday dearest Lal Sir," he captioned the post.

Prithviraj Sukumaran, who directed Empuraan, posted a still from the film's location and wrote, "Happy Birthday Laletta! Wish you another record-breaking year ahead!"

Actor Dileep also shared his wishes, writing, "Happy Birthday Lalettaa. May God bless you with good health, happiness, and all the good things in life."

Mohanlal Announces Biography Mukharagam

Alongside the birthday greetings, Mohanlal used the occasion to share a series of announcements. In a video posted to Facebook, he revealed that his biography, titled Mukharagam, will be published by Mathrubhumi Books. Written by Banu Prakash, who accompanied the actor over several years to document his life, the book features a foreword by acclaimed writer M.T. Vasudevan Nair.

Describing the biography as a reflection on the various facets of his 47-year-long film journey, Mohanlal stated that the nearly 1,000-page work will be released on December 25, 2025-coinciding with the completion of 47 years in cinema.

In another video, the actor spoke about a new initiative led by the ViswaSanthi Foundation in collaboration with Baby Memorial Hospital. The program aims to offer liver transplant surgeries at significantly reduced costs for children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Highlighting the pressing need for such procedures among children in Kerala, Mohanlal noted that the initiative seeks to support affected families in a meaningful way.

Additionally, he announced a year-long anti-drug campaign titled "Be A Hero", also organized by the ViswaSanthi Foundation. "Dreaming and achieving a successful life is the biggest high one can get, and we are committed to this journey with our youth," he said, urging the public to take a pledge against drug use.

The day, therefore, not only saw widespread celebrations for Mohanlal's birthday but also brought attention to personal milestones and philanthropic efforts led by the actor.
