Maranamass Box Office Collection Day 1 Early Updates: Maranamass is one of the most talked about Malayalam films for which Mollywood fans have been waiting for so long. The Basil Joseph starrer has a face off with Mammootty's Bazooka at the box office along with Alappuzha Gymkhana. Other than that, there is another big budget film, Empuraan, which is at the box office after releasing on March 27, 2025. Maranamass, which was made on a meagre budget of Rs. 8 Cr, is left behind by Alappuzha Gymkhana and Bazooka, with which the movie has a face-off. While Maranamass earned only Rs. 73 lakhs, Bazooka earned Rs. 2.38 Cr, while Alappuzha Gymkhana earned Rs. 2.08 Cr as of 7pm on opening day. Thus, it is Maranamass which is behind the other two movies.

Recently, Basil Joseph opened up about Maranamass to On Manorama, he said, "The film is wild and a bit exaggerated; it is about the adventure of a group of people. A wild ride. It will definitely be an exciting watch for kids. There is a hero with coloured hair, a loud heroine, a breakup, a dog named Pakru, so many visual elements that will excite audiences."
