Maranamass OTT Release: After its theatrical run in April, the Malayalam dark comedy Maranamass is now set to make its digital debut. Here's a look at when and where you can watch the film online.

The film, which marks the directorial debut of Sivaprasad, stars Basil Joseph in the lead and was released in theatres on April 10, 2025. Maranamass is set to begin streaming on SonyLIV from May 15, 2025, as recently announced by the platform.

The movie will be available in multiple languages - including the original Malayalam version and dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada - allowing it to reach a broader audience beyond its home state.

Maranamass Plot and Production Details

Maranamass revolves around a group of characters - including a serial killer, his target, a young woman, her lover, and several others - who find themselves together on a night bus. As the journey progresses, the situation spirals into a sequence of dramatic and darkly comic events. The killer character is reminiscent of notorious real-life criminals, while the narrative fuses crime with elements of dark comedy.

Basil Joseph plays Luke P. P., the central character, while Rajesh Madhavan appears as Sreekumar, a serial killer. Other notable cast members include Siju Sunny, who plays Aravindan (also known as Aruvi), Anishma Anilkumar as Jessy, Babu Antony in the role of DYSP Ajay Ramachandran, and Suresh Krishna as Jithin Kumar. Cameo appearances include Tovino Thomas and Guru Somasundaram.

The production of the film was a collaborative effort involving Tovino Thomas and his brother Tingston Thomas through their banner, Tovino Thomas Productions, with additional backing from Raphael Pozholiparambil (Raphael Productions) and Thanzeer Salam (Worldwide Films). The screenplay and dialogues were written by Siju Sunny and Sivaprasad, based on a story by Siju Sunny.

Neeraj Revi served as the cinematographer, with editing by Chaman Chakko and music composed by JK. The crew also includes Vishnu Govind (sound design), Mashar Hamsa (costume design), and RG Wayanadan (makeup), among others.
