Padakkalam OTT Release: After a theatrical run that began on May 8, 2025, the Malayalam film Padakkalam is now set to make its digital debut. The supernatural fantasy comedy, directed by Manu Swaraj, will be available for streaming on JioHotstar starting June 10, 2025.

Padakkalam features an ensemble cast led by Suraj Venjaramoodu, Sharafudheen, and Sandeep Pradeep, with a story that blends fantasy, humour, and a touch of the supernatural. The narrative revolves around a group of academically strong students with a shared love for comic books. Through a series of bizarre events-including body swaps-they find themselves in a situation where they must take on a professor with questionable motives.

The film plays on identity shifts and mistaken personas. Sandeep Pradeep appears as Jithin/Renjith after a body swap, while Suraj Venjaramoodu plays Shaji/Jithin and Sharafudheen takes on the role of Renjith/Shaji, reflecting the chaos that ensues in this comedy of errors. The cast also includes Saaf, Arun Pradeep, Arun Ajikumar, Niranjana Anoop, Pooja Mohanraj, and Ishan Shoukath.

The screenplay, penned by Nithin C Babu and director Manu Swaraj, attempts to mix coming-of-age themes with fantasy tropes. Cinematography is handled by Anu Moothedath, and the music is composed by Rajesh Murugesan. The editing is done by Nidhin Raj Arol, while sound design and mixing are managed by Renganaath Ravee and Kannan Ganpat, respectively.
