Painkili OTT Release: Painkili, a Malayalam romantic drama, hit theaters on February 14, 2025, coinciding with Valentine's Day. Written by Jithu Madhavan and marking the directorial debut of Sreejith Babu, the film features Sajin Gopu, Anaswara Rajan, and Roshan Shanavas in lead roles. Jointly produced by actor Fahadh Faasil and Jithu Madhavan, Painkili explores themes of love and relationships against a dramatic backdrop.

Painkili Storyline

Painkili follows the story of Suku, who pretends to be insane to evade the law but unexpectedly finds himself truly falling in love in the process.

Painkili features Sajin Gopu, Anaswara Rajan, Jisma Vimal, and Roshan Shanavas in lead roles, with Chandu Salimkumar, Abu Salim, Riyas Khan, and Lijo Jose Pellissery in supporting roles. The film brings together a mix of actors, each contributing to the storyline.

Painkili was directed by Sreejith Babu and written by Jithu Madhavan. The film was produced by Fahadh Faasil and Jithu Madhavan under the banners Fahadh Faasil & Friends and Urban Animal. Arjun Sethu handled the cinematography, while Justin Varghese composed the music with lyrics by Vinayak Sasikumar. Kiran Das served as the editor, and Vishnu Govind was responsible for audiography. The trailer cut was done by Vivek Harshan.

Kripesh Ayyappankutty was the art director, with Veda as the choreographer and Mashar Hamsa as the costume designer. The film's thrills were coordinated by Kalai Kingson, and makeup was handled by RG Wayanadan. The production was overseen by executive producer Mohsin Khais and production controller Vimal Vijay, with Sreeraj SV managing financial control. Painkili was released by Bhavana Release.
