Pani OTT Deal: Joju George’s Directorial Debut Secures Major Streaming Partnership

Pani OTT Deal: Pani, a Malayalam action thriller that marks Joju George's directorial debut, is set to expand its audience base through an OTT deal. Released in theaters on October 24, 2024, the film has been a significant box office success.

According to a post by film industry tracker Friday Matinee on X (formerly Twitter), Pani, which is Joju George's biggest career grosser, has secured a major streaming deal with SonyLIV. The partnership is expected to bring the film to a wider audience through the digital platform. The release date for the movie on OTT is still to be announced.

Pani Cast and Crew

The cast of Pani is led by Joju George as Giri, with Sagar Surya as Don Sebastian and Junaiz V. P. as Siju K. T. Bobby Kurian plays 'Warrant' Davi, Giri's business partner, while Abhinaya portrays Gowry, Giri's wife. Abhaya Hiranmayi appears as Jaya, Davi's wife, and Seema plays Mangalath Devaki Amma, Giri's mother. Chandini Sreedharan plays ACP Kalyani Prakash, Giri's cousin, while Prashanth Alexander portrays Kuruvila, Giri's brother-in-law and business partner. Sujith Shankar features as Saji, Giri's brother and partner, and Ranjith Velayudhan is the commissioner. The cast also includes Anoop Krishnan as Joshi, Jayaraj Warrier as himself, and Babu Namboothiri as the murdered person's brother. Bitto Davis appears as a witness to an ATM murder, with Jayashankar Karimuttom as Don's father.

Other cast members include Lanka Lakshmi, Sona Maria Abraham as Giri's sister and Kuruvila's wife, Dr. Merlet Ann Thomas as Don's love interest, Rinosh George as Kalyani's fiancé, Ramesh Girija as Suni, and Ashraf Mallisery as Aashan.

Pani is directed and written by Joju George, who also marks his debut as a filmmaker with this project. The film is produced by M. Riaz Adam and Sijo Vadakkan under the banners of AD Studios and Appu Pathu Pappu. Cinematography is handled by Venu ISC and Jinto George, while editing is done by Manu Antony. The music for the film includes songs composed by Vishnu Vijay, Sam C. S., and Santhosh Narayanan, with the score also contributed by Sam C. S. and Santhosh Narayanan.
