Ponman Now Streaming: Ponman, a Malayalam dark comedy directed by Jothish Shankar, premiered in theaters on January 30, 2025. The film, starring Basil Joseph, Sajin Gopu, Lijomol Jose, Anand Manmadhan, and Deepak Parambol, is based on G. R. Indugopan's novel Naalanchu Cheruppakar.

Ponman Storyline

Set in the coastal town of Kollam, Ponman follows PP Ajesh (Basil Joseph), a jewelry sales agent who lends gold to brides' families, expecting repayment through wedding cash gifts. However, when one family faces difficulty returning the gold, Ajesh's attempts to recover it uncover unexpected challenges, revealing societal issues related to dowry and the ingrained cultural significance of gold.
