Pravinkoodu Shappu OTT Release: After its theatrical release on January 16, 2025, the Malayalam black comedy crime thriller Pravinkoodu Shappu is set for its digital premiere. Directed by Sreeraj Sreenivasan in his debut, the film will begin streaming on Sony LIV from April 11, offering audiences another opportunity to watch it.

Produced by Anwar Rasheed under Anwar Rasheed Entertainment, Pravinkoodu Shappu stars Soubin Shahir, Basil Joseph, and Chemban Vinod Jose in lead roles, with Chandini Sreedharan, Shivajith, and Shabareesh Varma in key supporting parts. Filming took place in Thrissur and Ernakulam, starting on February 29, 2024.

Blending dark humor with crime elements, the film has drawn interest, and its OTT release is expected to make it accessible to a wider audience.

Pravinkoodu Shappu Storyline

The film revolves around the investigation of a mysterious death at a toddy shop. One rainy night, after the shop closed, 11 people stayed inside, drinking and playing cards. By morning, the shop owner, Komban Babu, is discovered hanging at the center of the shop. A police officer interrogates those present that night, attempting to piece together the events leading to his death. As the investigation unfolds, hidden truths come to light, leaving one pressing question-who killed Komban Babu, and why was his body left hanging?

Pravinkoodu Shappu was written and directed by Sreeraj Sreenivasan and produced by Anwar Rasheed. The film's cinematography was handled by Shyju Khalid, with music composed by Vishnu Vijay and editing by Shafique Mohamed Ali. Gokul Das served as the production designer, while Vishnu Govind was the sound designer. The executive producer was AR Ansar. Lyrics for the songs were penned by Mu.Ri, Vinayak Sasikumar, and Suhail Koya, with vocals by Shakthisree Gopalan, Aparna Harikumar, Padmaja Sreenivasan, Indu Sanath, Dabzee, and Vishnu Vijay.
