Prince And Family 15 Days Kerala Box Office Collection: Dileep's Film Records ₹13 Crore Gross

Prince and Family Box Office Collection: The Malayalam film Prince and Family, led by veteran actor Dileep, has completed 15 days in theaters across Kerala, registering a total gross of ₹13.02 crore, according to reports from regional box office tracker What The Fuss and film industry observer AB George. The film, which hit theaters on May 9, continues to maintain a steady pace at the Kerala box office despite facing stiff competition from other regional and national releases.
Directed by debutant Binto Stephen, Prince and Family is a family-oriented comedy drama that marks Dileep's 150th film. The script is penned by Sharis Mohammed, and the film is produced by Listin Stephen under the Magic Frames banner. The production was completed in 85 days across multiple locations, including Ooty, Kozhikode, and Ernakulam.
Family Drama Sees Steady Run in Theatres
Set in a fictional rural backdrop, Prince and Family revolves around Prince Chakkalakkal, an introverted bridal boutique owner, who finds himself in an unexpected marriage with Chinju Rani, a spirited social media vlogger. The story explores the humorous and often chaotic dynamics that unfold as the couple attempts to adjust to each other's contrasting personalities.
The ensemble cast features Raniya Raanaa as Chinju Rani, Dhyan Sreenivasan as Prince's younger brother Jince, and veteran actors Siddique and Bindu Panicker as the family's patriarch and matriarch. Other notable names in the cast include Johny Antony, Manju Pillai, Josekutty Jacob, and cameo appearances by Urvashi and Vineeth Thattil David.
From a commercial standpoint, the film has performed decently, especially considering it did not have an aggressive promotional campaign leading up to its release. The ₹13.02 crore gross in 15 days reflects a moderate but consistent turnout in theaters, suggesting that the film has found some resonance with family audiences and fans of the genre.
Behind the scenes, the film boasts a solid technical crew. Cinematography is handled by Renadive, editing by Sagar Dass, and music by Sanal Dev. The film's production design was handled by Akhil Raj Chirayil, costumes by Sameera Saneesh and Venki (Dilieep), choreography by Prasanna and Jishnu, and sound by M R Rajakrishnan and the team at Sync Cinema, all of whom contributed to the film's overall visual and narrative tone.
As Prince and Family enters its third week in theaters, its continued performance will depend largely on word-of-mouth and the audience's appetite for family comedies amidst an increasingly crowded release calendar.
