Rekhachithram Box Office Collection Day 2 Early Updates: Rekhachithram is the second Malayalam movie that hit theatres in New Year after Identity. The Asif Ali starrer has already garnered much buzz before it hit the screen, however, the film couldn't live up to the expectations on opening day. On the other hand, the movie has gained pace on day 2, and surpassed the collection day 1 already before the final box office update comes.

Rekhachithram has earned Rs. 1.96 Cr at the box office as of 9pm, according to the early updates of Sacnilk. The movie has seen a rise in collection compared to day 1 when it earned Rs. 1.90 Cr nett in India. The India gross collection of the film stands at Rs. 2.20 Cr considering the collection of different states. From Karnataka it minted Rs. 20 lakhs, while from Andhra Pradesh and Telengana, the movie collected Rs. 2 lakhs only. From Tamil Nadu, the movie minted Rs. 1.9 Cr and from rest of the states, it minted Rs. 3 lakhs. The movie had 29.15% Malayalam occupancy on day 2.

Rekhachithram is helmed by Jofin T Chacko, who has previously directed Mammootty starrer Preist, which was the debut movie of the director back in 2021. Interestingly, Rekhachithram was supposed to be the debut movie of the director, according to the reports. In his latest interview, Asif Ali explains why the director made Rekhachithram his second movie, he said, "When I first heard Rekhachithram's story, I first asked how this movie would even happen. Only because he got a big opening through The Priest, Rekhachitram could be done as a second movie at least. For this movie to happen, it needed a huge backup, and profile."
