Thudarum Box Office Collection Day 6 Prediction: Mohanlal’s Film Expected To See Strong Momentum

Thudarum's Box Office Collection Prediction: Released on April 25, 2025, Thudarum has been posting record-breaking collections at the box office, despite arriving in theatres without the usual trappings of a major festival release and in the absence of significant competition. The Malayalam-language film, directed by Tharun Moorthy and featuring Mohanlal and Shobana, has been noted by audiences for its storytelling, performances, and suspense-driven narrative.
The initial weekend gave the film a strong push. Friday opened decently, and collections shot up on Saturday and Sunday, indicating positive word of mouth and solid occupancy in prime Kerala circuits. Monday and Tuesday witnessed the expected weekday drop, but it wasn't drastic, pointing toward a sustained interest from moviegoers.
Thudarum is witnessing a surge in box office momentum as it enters Day 6 on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. According to film industry tracker AB George, pre-sales for Wednesday are already higher than Tuesday's (Day 5), largely due to the May 1 Labour Day public holiday effect, especially for evening and night shows. Notably, there has been no drop in the matinee and noon showings, indicating a strong and steady audience turnout.
AB George further noted that this Wednesday is expected to be the biggest ever in Kerala's box office history, potentially surpassing even Empuraan's previous record. With strong advance bookings, Thudarum is now on track to close its first week with an India net collection comfortably exceeding ₹45 crore.

The Malayalam film industry has seen several commercially successful films in recent past, and Thudarum is now among the highest-grossing films of the year. Its sustained collections on weekdays set it apart from many thrillers that tend to fade quickly after an initial burst.
Thudarum Storyline
Shanmugham "Benz," a devoted father and taxi driver in rural Kerala, shares a deep bond with his son and his beloved vintage Ambassador car. When an impulsive act by his son leads to a rift between them, Shanmugham's life takes a darker turn. His car is later seized in a drug case, entangling him with a trio of police officers under suspicious circumstances. A disturbing journey to the hills leaves him visibly shaken, and his attempts to resume normal life are haunted by what he witnessed. As buried secrets resurface, Shanmugham is forced to confront a truth that could upend everything.
Thudarum's Origins and Production Process
The film originated from a real-life encounter experienced by co-writer K. R. Sunil, a documentary photographer who draws inspiration from rural life and true events. Sunil and producer M. Renjith believed Tharun Moorthy's filmmaking sensibilities were well-suited to handle the nuanced and layered screenplay. Mohanlal had reportedly expressed interest in the story even before Tharun Moorthy officially came on board, which shaped the project from the early stages.
Production was handled by Rejaputhra Visual Media, with Shaji Kumar in charge of cinematography. Jakes Bejoy provided the music and background score, while the editing was led by Shafeeque VB and Nishadh Yusuf.
Looking Ahead: Will Thudarum Sustain Momentum?
If the current trend continues, Thudarum might break into the ₹60 crore club by the end of its second weekend. Much will depend on whether new releases cut into its screen share or if the film manages to hold prime slots.
More updates will follow as revised numbers arrive from the evening and night shows. For now, Thudarum appears to be on a solid path in its box office journey, with its Wednesday collections likely to set a new regional benchmark.
