Thudarum Box Office Collection Day 11 Prediction: Mohanlal's Film Continues Week Two With Steady Momentum

Thudarum Box Office Collection Day 11 Prediction: The Malayalam crime thriller Thudarum, headlined by veteran actor Mohanlal and directed by Tharun Moorthy, is now in its second week of theatrical run. After opening in cinemas on April 25, 2025, the film has maintained a consistent presence at the box office across its first ten days. With critical response being largely positive and public interest sustained, Thudarum has reached a significant milestone in its collection figures, marking it among the top-performing Malayalam films of the year so far.
The film was jointly written by Tharun and K. R. Sunil and was produced by M. Renjith under the banner Rejaputhra Visual Media. Featuring a broad ensemble cast including Shobana, Prakash Varma, Farhaan Faasil, and Binu Pappu, among others, Thudarum blends emotional drama with a crime-thriller narrative set in a small town in Kerala.
According to early industry estimates, Thudarum continues to show strong earnings, especially in its home state. Film industry tracker AB George reported a gross of approximately ₹66.20 crore from Kerala alone over the first 10 days. The Sunday earnings (May 4) were pegged at ₹7.50 crore in Kerala, reflecting healthy weekend interest.

Narrative and Background
Thudarum follows the story of Shanmugham, a taxi driver nicknamed Benz, who lives a modest life with his family in a small Kerala town. After a seemingly ordinary trip, his car is seized by police for alleged misuse in a smuggling incident. Attempting to reclaim it, Benz is drawn into an unexpected and dark situation involving a corpse and a police cover-up. The film transitions into a mystery-thriller as Benz tries to uncover the truth, ultimately confronting a system that seeks to silence him.
The story's origin lies in a real-life experience of K. R. Sunil, a documentary photographer. It was Sunil who initially conceived the plot after an encounter during his travels. The script was later developed with Tharun Moorthy, who was approached by the producers due to his reputation for handling emotionally layered narratives. Interestingly, Mohanlal had already shown interest in the project even before Tharun signed on to direct.
The role of Benz's son, Pavi, is played by Thomas Mathew. Maniyanpilla Raju and Aarsha Chandini Baiju also appear in important roles.
Outlook for the Coming Days
With over ₹72 crore collected so far, Thudarum has already made a mark commercially. However, with several other regional and national films releasing in the coming weeks, the film's long-term performance will depend on weekday stability and sustained public interest.
The coming weekdays are likely to see a drop in daily numbers, which is typical unless driven by word of mouth or a major public holiday. The film's trajectory now hinges on whether it can retain enough momentum to cross the ₹100 crore India Net Collection in the longer run or settle into a stable, modest climb in the weeks ahead.
