Thudarum Kerala Box Office 14 Days Collection: Mohanlal's Film Closes On ₹85 Crore Mark

Mohanlal s Thudarum Kerala Box Office 14 Days Collection

Thudarum Kerala Box Office Collection: Tharun Moorthy's Malayalam crime thriller Thudarum, starring Mohanlal and Shobana, has completed two weeks in theaters with a steady run across Kerala. According to estimates shared by industry tracker AB George on X (formerly Twitter), the film has grossed approximately ₹83.35 crore in Kerala alone at the end of its 14-day theatrical run.

On Day 14 (May 8), Thudarum reportedly earned ₹3.35 crore in the state, showing a sustained interest among audiences even as it entered its third week. While the first week saw robust turnout driven by initial buzz and star power, the film has maintained relatively stable collections despite new releases.

Thudarum: Story, Cast, and Box Office Performance

Released on April 25, 2025, Thudarum marks the first collaboration between director Tharun Moorthy and screenwriter K.R. Sunil, a documentary photographer whose story idea was drawn from a real-life encounter. The project came together when Sunil and producer M. Renjith approached Tharun, believing his sensibility would suit the tone of the film. Mohanlal had reportedly expressed interest in the concept early on, making the actor's involvement a key factor from the beginning.

The film features Mohanlal as Shanmugham, also known as Benz, who leads a simple life centered around his family and his cherished black Ambassador car. One day, his vehicle is seized by the police under suspicion of involvement in a crime he knows nothing about. As he attempts to recover it, Benz is drawn into a tense and coercive journey with police officers, during which he becomes entangled in a disturbing incident. What begins as a routine ride spirals into a harrowing personal ordeal, forcing Benz to confront unsettling truths and take matters into his own hands in search of justice.

As the third weekend approaches, it remains to be seen how Thudarum will fare against new releases. However, its current momentum suggests it may cross the ₹85 crore mark at the Kerala box office soon, placing it among the notable Malayalam films of the year
