As per early tracking, the film has already crossed ₹6.70 crore in gross collections for the day and is expected to finish with a strong ₹7.75-₹8 crore gross. With this momentum, Thudarum is on course to deliver a staggering ₹19.75-₹20 crore opening weekend in Kerala.

Thudarum Synopsis

Thudarum is a Malayalam drama thriller that follows Shanmugham (Mohanlal), a taxi driver living in the tranquil town of Ranni, Pathanamthitta. The story opens with glimpses of Shanmugham's modest and happy life with his family and friends, which is soon upended by an unforeseen tragedy. As events progress, the narrative shifts from a family drama into a crime thriller, tracing Shanmugham's descent into darker territory. The film examines themes of betrayal, justice, and the extraordinary measures one man takes to safeguard his loved ones. Featuring a strong ensemble cast - including Shobana, Prakash Varma, Binu Pappu, Farhaan Faasil, Thomas Mathew, Maniyanpilla Raju, among others - Thudarum explores the life of an ordinary man and how his family becomes victims of police brutality, punctuated by Mohanlal's star power and unexpected twists that continually alter the story's tone and direction.

Thudarum stars Mohanlal in the lead as Shanmugham, also known as Benz, with Shobana portraying his wife, Lalitha Shanmugham. Prakash Varma essays the role of the primary antagonist, CI George Mathan. The supporting lineup includes Thomas Mathew as Shanmugham's son Pavi, Amritha Varshini as his daughter, Binu Pappu as SI Benny C Kurian, and Farhaan Faasil as CPO Sudheesh. Maniyanpilla Raju and Irshad play Shanmugham's friends, Kuttychan and Shaji. Aarsha Chandini Baiju appears as Mary, George's daughter, while Krishna Prabha takes on the role of Seema, Lalitha's younger sister.

Other notable cast members include Aravind, Sangeeth Prathap as Kiran, Abin Bino as Manikandan (Maniyan), and Shobi Thilakan as Maniyan's father. G.
