Thudarum Kerala Box Office Collection: Mohanlal’s Film Heads Toward ₹47 Crore Mark In First Week

Thudarum Kerala Box Office Mohanlal Film Nears 47 Crore

Thudarum Box Office Collection: The Malayalam crime thriller Thudarum, starring Mohanlal and directed by Tharun Moorthy, continues its impressive box office performance in Kerala. Released on April 25, the film has not only garnered widespread critical appreciation but is also posting remarkable numbers in its first week, making it one of the most successful Malayalam films in recent times.

Thudarum Kerala Box Office 7 Days Collection

According to industry tracker AB George, Thudarum has amassed approximately ₹7 crore on its seventh day (Thursday) in Kerala. The film's cumulative six-day gross stood at ₹39.95 crore, with projections indicating it is likely to hit the ₹47 crore mark by the end of its first week.

Here's a day-wise breakdown of the Kerala gross collections so far:

Friday (Opening Day) - ₹5.10 crore

Saturday - ₹7 crore

Sunday - ₹8.20 crore

Monday - ₹6.85 crore

Tuesday - ₹6.50 crore

Wednesday - ₹6.30 crore

With this trajectory, Thudarum has reportedly surpassed the lifetime Kerala earnings of Mohanlal's recent hit Neru and even outpaced Mammootty's Bheeshmaparvam within just seven days.

Set in the small town of Ranni, Thudarum follows the story of Shanmugham, a taxi driver known as "Benz," whose life takes a dramatic turn after his car is impounded in connection with a crime he claims no part in. What begins as an attempt to retrieve his vehicle spirals into a larger narrative involving deep-seated corruption, personal loss, and moral reckoning.

The screenplay was co-written by K.R. Sunil, who drew inspiration from real-life encounters during his travels as a documentary photographer. The project was produced by M. Renjith under the Rejaputhra Visual Media banner.

Alongside Mohanlal, the film features Shobana, Farhaan Faasil, Binu Pappu, Thomas Mathew, and Aarsha Chandini Baiju in key roles. The technical crew includes cinematographer Shaji Kumar, editors Shafeeque VB and Nishadh Yusuf, and music composer Jakes Bejoy.

As Thudarum continues its theatrical run, industry watchers are keen to see how far it can climb in the coming weeks. The film's strong opening and sustained momentum suggest that it may soon join the list of all-time blockbusters in Malayalam cinema.
