Thudarum Promo Song: The team behind the Malayalam crime thriller Thudarum is set to launch its promotional track Kondattam today, April 30, at 6 PM. The announcement was made via Mohanlal's official social media handles, confirming the song's release time and providing details about the track's contributors.

Thudarum, directed by Tharun Moorthy and co-written with K. R. Sunil, opened in theatres on April 25 and has been performing strongly at the box office. Produced by M. Renjith under the Rejaputhra Visual Media banner, the film features Mohanlal in the lead alongside Shobana. The cast also includes Prakash Varma, Farhaan Faasil, Binu Pappu, Thomas Mathew, and Maniyanpilla Raju, among others.

Shanmugham, a taxi driver in rural Kerala, shares a close bond with his family and his vintage Ambassador car. A rift with his son sets off a chain of events involving a drug case, a police ride to the hills, and a night that leaves him visibly shaken. Back home, his behavior changes, raising suspicion. When a landslide unearths something buried, the past begins to catch up. Thudarum follows the aftermath of one man's entanglement in events beyond his control, tracing the slow unraveling of a secret he didn't choose to keep.

The idea for the film reportedly stemmed from a real-life encounter experienced by co-writer Sunil, a documentary photographer. He and producer Renjith approached Tharun Moorthy to direct, believing his previous work made him a good fit for the story's tone and depth. Mohanlal was already interested in the story even before Tharun came on board.

With Kondattam scheduled to drop today, the makers seem intent on maintaining momentum as the film enters its second week in theatres.
