Thudarum Release Date Announced: Mohanlal And Shobana Starrer Movie Set For Theatrical Release

Thudarum Release Date: The wait is finally over for fans of Mohanlal and Malayalam cinema, as the release date for Thudarum, the much-anticipated crime drama starring Mohanlal and Shobana, has been officially announced. Directed by Operation Java and Saudi Vellakka fame Tharun Moorthy, the film is set to grace theaters worldwide on April 25, 2025.

Mohanlal took to Facebook to share the news with his fans, writing, "You've heard the whispers. You've felt our arrival. It's time to drive it home. Thudarum arrives on April 25th." The update has drawn attention on social media, especially as this marks another collaboration between two of Malayalam cinema's most revered stars - Mohanlal and Shobana.

Thudarum: Cast, Crew, and Key Production Details

Set against the backdrop of a gripping crime narrative, Thudarum is expected to deliver a potent blend of intense drama and emotional depth. Mohanlal plays the role of Shanmugham, while Shobana essays Lalitha, with both actors reuniting on screen after a long gap. The supporting cast includes Farhaan Faasil, Maniyanpilla Raju, Binu Pappu, Irshad Ali, Aarsha Chandini Baiju, Thomas Mathew, Krishna Praba, Prakash Varma, and Aravind.

The film is produced by M. Renjith under the banner of Rejaputhra Visual Media, with a screenplay co-written by Tharun Moorthy and K. R. Sunil. Cinematographer Shaji Kumar has captured the visuals of the movie, while the editing is handled by Shafeeque VB and Nishadh Yusuf. The background score and original songs are composed by Jakes Bejoy.

Shot over a span of 99 days between April and November 2024, Thudarum was filmed in multiple locations across Kerala, with a crew led by production controller Dixon Poduthas and production designer Gokul Das. Renowned names like Pattanam Rasheed for makeup and Sameera Saneesh for costumes have also brought their expertise to the project.

Thudarum brings together an ensemble cast and a story set within the framework of a crime drama. Backed by a team with prior experience in grounded storytelling, the film is scheduled for release later this month.
