Thudarum Box Office Mohanlal s Film Crosses 220 Crore

Thudarum Worldwide Box Office Collection: Mohanlal's crime thriller Thudarum is now in its fourth week in theaters and continues to draw audiences. Despite adverse weather conditions over the weekend, including heavy rains in parts of Kerala, the film witnessed a notable turnout on its fourth Sunday, particularly in its home state.

According to film industry tracker AB George, Thudarum has grossed close to ₹110 crore in Kerala alone over 24 days. Its global earnings are estimated to have crossed ₹220 crore, marking a significant milestone for a regional-language film. The film, which was released on April 25, has now entered its 25th day in cinemas.

Thudarum: Crime Thriller Centered On A Taxi Driver's Ordeal

The film features veteran actor Mohanlal in the lead role of Shanmugham, popularly known as Benz, a former stunt performer turned taxi driver. Shobana plays Lalitha, his wife. The supporting cast includes Prakash Varma, Binu Pappu, Thomas Mathew, Farhaan Faasil, Aarsha Chandini Baiju, and others. Notably, the film also features a cameo appearance by Arjun Ashokan.

Set in the peaceful hill town of Ranni, the narrative follows Benz's journey from a quiet family life to being drawn into a distressing sequence of events. When a chain of personal and external incidents disrupts his routine existence, Benz is forced to grapple with deep-seated truths and seek answers that point to a darker reality. The screenplay was written by Tharun Moorthy and K. R. Sunil, who is also credited with originating the story based on a real-life encounter.
