Thudarum Worldwide Box Office Collection: Mohanlal's Movie Nears ₹100 Crore Milestone In Just Six Days

Thudarum Box Office Collection: Thudarum, the Malayalam crime thriller led by Mohanlal and directed by Tharun Moorthy, is continuing its strong performance at the global box office, inching closer to the ₹100 crore mark within just six days of its release. The film, which hit theaters on April 25, 2025, has emerged as one of the year's biggest Malayalam releases, both in terms of critical reception and commercial success.

Industry tracker AB George shared the latest update via X (formerly Twitter), stating that Thudarum is 'marching towards the ₹100 crore gross mark' and is on track to become the second fastest Malayalam film to reach the milestone after Empuraan. The film's strong run is especially notable given that it arrived with minimal promotional hype, relying instead on word-of-mouth and the strength of its narrative.

'Kondattam' Promo Song from Thudarum Out Today

Set in rural Kerala, Thudarum centers on Shanmugham, a taxi driver whose life takes a dramatic turn following a personal conflict and a disturbing experience involving the police. The screenplay, penned by Tharun Moorthy and K. R. Sunil, is based on a story inspired by Sunil's own encounters during his work as a documentary photographer. The film explores themes of family, guilt, and systemic rot, all within the framework of a crime thriller.

The cast includes Shobana, Prakash Varma, Farhaan Faasil, Binu Pappu, and Thomas Mathew among others, with many of the characters playing pivotal roles in the story's escalation. Produced by M. Renjith under Rejaputhra Visual Media, the film features cinematography by Shaji Kumar and music by Jakes Bejoy. Editors Shafeeque VB and Nishadh Yusuf handled the film's pacing, while the sound design was led by Vishnu Govind.

Meanwhile, a promotional song titled "Kondattam" from the film is set to release today at 6 PM. The track, composed by Jakes Bejoy and sung by MG Sreekumar and Rajalakshmy, features choreography by Brinda Master.

As Thudarum heads into its second weekend, the box office momentum shows no signs of slowing down, placing it among the top-grossing Malayalam films of all time.
