Unni Mukundan Did Not Apologize As Claimed: FEFKA Initiates Disciplinary Action Against Vipin Kumar

Unni Mukundan Didn t Apologize FEFKA Acts On Vipin

FEFKA Initiates Disciplinary Action Against Vipin: FEFKA, the Film Employees Federation of Kerala, has announced that it will be taking disciplinary action against Vipin Kumar, the former manager of actor Unni Mukundan. The move comes after a recent mediation between the two at the AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists) office, which was believed to have resolved their ongoing conflict. However, subsequent developments have prompted FEFKA to take a firm stance.

According to a statement released by the organization, Vipin Kumar made claims to the media that Unni Mukundan had issued an apology during the meeting-a statement FEFKA says is factually incorrect. The federation noted that this misrepresentation contradicts the mutual understanding that had been reached and constitutes a breach of discipline.

The statement read, "Vipin Kumar, despite the terms agreed upon during the resolution meeting held at the AMMA office, conveyed misleading information about the conversation to a media outlet. His assertion that Unni Mukundan apologized is not true. In view of this violation, FEFKA has decided to cease all organizational cooperation with Vipin and will initiate disciplinary action."

Just a day prior, FEFKA General Secretary B. Unnikrishnan had publicly stated that both parties had reached an amicable settlement with assistance from AMMA and FEFKA representatives. The issue had reportedly been resolved after an in-person meeting.

Vipin's assault claim and Unni's counter-allegation

This fallout follows allegations raised by Vipin in late May. He accused Unni Mukundan of physically assaulting him after he posted a positive review of Narivetta, a film starring Tovino Thomas. According to a Manorama Online report, Vipin told the Infopark Police that he was attacked on May 26 at a flat in Kakkanad, sustaining injuries to his face, head, and chest. He also claimed he was verbally abused and required medical treatment following the incident.

In response, Unni Mukundan rejected the allegations, stating that they were part of a larger conspiracy against him. He alleged that Vipin was attempting to tarnish his reputation and had fabricated the story for ulterior motives. Unni said he had merely questioned Vipin over defamatory remarks being spread to other actors and denied any physical confrontation. He has since filed a formal complaint with the state's Director General of Police (DGP) and Additional DGP, seeking an investigation into what he describes as a targeted smear campaign.

The dispute appeared to be heading toward closure until Vipin's remarks to the media prompted fresh action from FEFKA. With disciplinary measures now in motion, the fallout between the actor and his former manager shows little sign of resolution in the public eye.
