Actress Vincy Aloshious Alleges Drug-Influenced Misconduct By Co-Star, Says ‘Such Actors Still Get Films’

Vincy Aloshious Alleges Drug-Influenced Misconduct By Co-Star: In a candid and emotional revelation on social media, Malayalam actress Vincy Aloshious has brought to light a disturbing experience she faced on a film set. The actress claimed that a male co-star, allegedly under the influence of drugs, behaved inappropriately with her and another female colleague during the shoot. Her disclosure comes in the wake of a broader statement she made recently about her decision not to work with actors she knows use narcotics.
The actress, known for her nuanced performances, took to social media to share a detailed explanation of her earlier remark made during an anti-drug campaign event. "I had said I will not act in films with those who use drugs. It came from personal experience, not just a moral stance," Vincy explained in a video. She noted that after her initial comments were picked up by the media, a wave of responses - both supportive and critical - prompted her to clarify her position further.
Recounting the incident that led to her firm decision, Vincy shared a troubling experience from one of her film sets. "A lead actor, visibly under the influence, made remarks to me that were disturbing and humiliating," she said. She described how, when she stepped aside to fix a costume glitch, the actor loudly offered to "help" her in a suggestive manner - all in the presence of the crew. "It was deeply uncomfortable. Working with someone like that was emotionally exhausting," she said.
Vincy also described another moment during rehearsals when the same actor spat out a white powder-like substance. According to her, it was "blatantly obvious" that he was using drugs, even on set. "When such behavior becomes a disruption in the workplace, it stops being a personal matter," she stated, emphasizing that her concern lies with how drug use negatively impacts professional environments.
The actress said that while the film was eventually completed - and even turned out to be successful - the process left her emotionally drained. "Everyone around me tried to pacify me, asked me to bear with it so that the project could be completed. That sense of helplessness was hard to ignore," she said. The director, she added, did address the issue with the actor in question, but the damage had already been done.
Vincy Questions Industry's Support
Vincy's decision to speak out wasn't just driven by personal grievance, but also by a desire to stand firm in her values. "I know people are saying I'm making excuses because I don't have offers," she said, addressing some of the negative comments she received. "But cinema isn't my entire life. It's just a part of it. I am someone who has the strength to say, 'Even if I don't get films, it's okay.' That's the clarity I carry with me."
She also made it clear that while she doesn't object to what people choose to do in their private lives, she draws a line when such behavior spills into public or professional spaces. "Let them do what they want in their personal lives. But when it starts affecting others on set - that's when it becomes a problem," she said.
The actress acknowledged that those who indulge in such habits continue to have a foothold in the industry. "They have films. They have people willing to back them. For some, this is all just part of the entertainment business," she observed. But for her, it's different. "I've made a personal vow - there will be no alcohol, cigarettes, or drugs in my life. I want to protect my mind and my health."
Despite facing backlash from certain quarters, Vincy expressed gratitude to those who supported her or tried to understand her perspective. "I have a clear idea of where I came from, where I stand now, and where I'm heading. What matters is getting opportunities. I continue forward with that hope, though things haven't materialized. Whether someone is a superstar or an ordinary person, when they take a stand, that is their stance. People who comment should have the awareness to respect that," she said.
