Actor Vishnu Prasad Battles Critical Health Crisis, Daughter Steps Up As Liver Donor Amid Financial Struggles

Vishnu Prasad In Critical Condition: Malayalam actor Vishnu Prasad, known for his work in both cinema and television, is currently battling a critical health condition. Reports indicate that he has been diagnosed with a severe liver ailment and is in urgent need of a transplant. His worsening health has not only impacted his career but also placed significant emotional and financial strain on his family.

According to a report by Manorama Online, Vishnu Prasad's condition has deteriorated significantly, necessitating immediate medical intervention. The estimated cost of the liver transplant surgery stands at approximately ₹30 lakh, a figure that has proven to be a major obstacle for the family. As per the report, one of his daughters has volunteered to donate a portion of her liver to save her father's life. Vishnu Prasad is a father to two daughters-Abhirami and Ananika.

The Association of Television Media Artistes (ATMA) has stepped in to offer initial support. The organization provided a small sum as emergency aid and is now actively working to raise additional financial assistance from within its community. Speaking to Manorama Online, ATMA Vice President Mohan Ayiroor and actor Kishore Sathya shared their concerns about the situation.

"We came to know about his condition through his sister. Though one of his daughters is ready to donate her liver, the cost of the treatment is far beyond what the family can afford. As a small association with limited resources, we could only offer minimal financial support," said Kishore Sathya, adding that a fundraising appeal has been circulated among members with Vishnu Prasad's consent.

Mohan Ayiroor echoed a similar sentiment, highlighting the urgency of the matter and expressing hope that more people would come forward to help.

Vishnu Prasad had remained active in the entertainment industry until recently, continuing his appearances in serials airing on popular Malayalam channels. His notable film credits include Kasi, Kaiyethum Doorath, Runway, Mampazhakkalam, Lion, Ben Johnson, Lokanathan IAS, Pathaka, and Maratha Nadu.
